Camano Island, Spring Break 2015

In the spring of 2015, my family and I visited Camano Island. It was our first time.

We rented one of their seaside cabins, which were very affordable and comfortable. Spartan, with two bunk beds and a queen-sized (you'll need to bring your own sheets and sleeping bags, blankets), a kitchen and a table with chairs.

We brought our little Havanese (there are only a few dogs-allowed cabins).

You can't drive up to the cabins, but park at some lots uphill. However, it's easy enough if you don't bring too much. They also have a shuttle service from the carpark to the cabins, to help you unload your stuff closer.

It was a lovely time even though it rained on the first day we were there. The remainder two days were brisk but sunny. We ate, we played board games, we ate some more, hiked, walked on the beach, and just relaxed. I love these lazy leisure times with my family. The best sort of vacation.

Summer Days 2015

Summer is a bitter sweet season for me.

I am the busiest, doing what I love most while helping our family out financially. But it also takes me away a lot during the weekends when everyone is home, having fun.

Today, though, I am not working but I am doing what I love - photography. We spent the afternoon playing with water guns and balloons at a neighbor's house, and I happily got splashed and soaked along with my gear.

I am thankful for a few of these weekends where I get to enjoy the sun with those I love. Makes them all the more precious.
