If you live in Duvall, you’ll know Lynzie.

She of the big warm smiles and friendly chatter, who has been serving happiness and joy in the form of ice cream and coffee to the many families of our community since she was 13 out at the Country Collection Antique store downtown.

All grown up now with a family of her own, Lynzie’s story is one that just touches the heart. Suffice to say, it’s been a long journey for the H family to now be holding this miracle baby in their arms. Almost four months old, full of gummy smiles and wide-eyed wonder, baby M is a happy, healthy little cherub.

Richard Avedon, a famous fashion photographer, once said that all his portraits are a reflection of him, of how he sees his subjects. This is the quality I aim to bring to all my pictures, a statement I have to make about what I feel about who I photograph. For Baby M, I cannot help but feel such awe and…hope. I had to close in on those big beautiful dark grey eyes, the roundness of his head, his fuzzy toes, and grasping fingers that hold on to you as if for dear life.

And to have him stare back at me in the same state of astonishment, what delight! Who is this big black shiny thing and why does she smell like coffee? (he would know).

I am so honored to be able to do this for you, Lynzie and Damon. You’ll be seeing us often down at CCs for some ice cream, coffee and checking in on chubby little M for some hugs and kisses.

Three months old Baby N has got that cute thing going like gangbusters
