As some of you may know, I have worked with the fabulous Amar Ramesh for over a year now. What a long way we’ve come.
Amar is returning to India in a few weeks for good. I am sad that he is leaving and that our great collaboration is coming to an end but I am proud that my friend will be starting his own photography business in Chennai. I cannot be more happy for him as he begins his journey. Amar has the talent, passion and integrity as an artist as well as the zeal of a successful entrepreneur. I have no doubt that he will be rocking the wedding industry in India, as he did here.
And so, I am in need of an apprentice again.
What I am looking for:
This is a a paid assistant apprenticeship. I require a commitment to stay with me for one full year, working weekends whenever called upon to assist for a variety of shoots, including weddings, family sessions, maternity and newborn shoots. This will also include opportunities to second shoot once you are ready, which normally happens after six months.
Besides the fun photography assignments, I also share with you the day-to-day operations of my business, areas such as marketing and accounting, my workflow, processing techniques, customer relationship management and even when making sales calls. After a year, like Amar, you will leave with enough knowledge and practical know-how to start your own photography business.

Hi. I’m from New York so I was wondering if the apprentice position was in the NY area. Thanks.
Is it too late to throw my name into the ring, I wonder?
Not too late, Elyse! I’ve not started looking through yet
Done and done
Good luck going through all the applications!
Hi Jennifer,
If the position is still available, could you pitch my name in the hat please?
Thank you kindly!
