So January this year, I made a mega trip back to my home country, Malaysia, to shoot my friend Li-Hsian’s wedding to Srihari. And what a trip it was. I didn’t realize how much I’d missed home. The blue skies, the sizzling hot weather, Chinese New Year, the FOOD! Oh, the glorious food.
But enough about me for now and feast your eyes on some pictures of Li-Hsian and Srihari’s wedding, starting with their wedding portraits and tea ceremony.
This was the view today from the bridal suite at the Hilton Kuala Lumpur. Beautiful blue skies!
Intricate henna tattoos drawn freehand. I am awed each time I look at these!
Professional saree tier Rakesh doing his magic.
Every single fold is hand creased.
A quick change of clothes to some traditional Chinese cheongsam and samfoo for the bride and groom.
Time for tea! The Chinese custom of a tea ceremony, that is, to welcome the groom’s family to the bride’s.
Venue: The Hilton Kuala Lumpur
